Soundcraftsmen 450X2M professional power amplifier FULLY SERVICED

Replaced all electrolytic capacitors with top quality audio caps by Elna and Nichicon. Replaced the large power capacitors with new upgrades. Replaced cooling fan power resistor. Set PCR voltage to spec. Set temp regulation to spec and tested for proper operation.

Set bias current to spec. Precision balance input board to 0dB setting. This amp is a professional amplifier that accepts balanced or unbalanced inputs. It uses MOSFET output transistors for detailed sonics and rugged durability. It uses phase control regulation and temp sensors at critical locations to control operating voltage.

This allows it to run at high power with low impedance loads and will not overheat or shut down. All electrolytic capacitors were replaced. The power caps were upgraded from 11mF / 75V to 13mF / 100V. The new caps are rated at over 15A ripple current and an 18,000 hour life span. They are the best out there.

This amp then had all adjustments set to spec and tested for distortion. The amp was then played for an extended time. It also has onboard bridging capabilities with a bridge/stereo switch on back. On the front it has full detailed power LEDs with clipping indicators, as well as easy access circuit breaker and rack handles. Distortion was tested with a Tektronix AA501 at full rated power into 8 ohm loads, both channels driven.
