Released in 1986, Yamaha's M-35 Natural Sound Stereo Power Amplifier was a surprisingly clean and powerful addition to their 2 or 4 channel. Designed to drive the presence speakers used with the DSP-1, the M-35 is a switchable 2 or 4 channel power amplifier that lets you adjust each channel independently to compensate for any listening environment irregularities, and to finely adjust the surround effect to your particular taste. In 2-channel mode the M-35 offers 80 watts, or 40 W/Ch of full-bandwidth-rated power, at an impressive Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of only 0.015%, far below what the human ear can detect! Switched to 4-channel mode, the 80 watts of power is evenly distributed at 20 W/Ch. Weighs just over 11 lbs and.

Aside from some scuffs & scratches to the lid, there are some small nicks and spots of discoloration to the front panel, some too faint to be seen well in the pics. Of course this does not affect operation, still it does not meet our normal condition standards and we have reduced the price to compensate so YOU SAVE! All the original terminals and feet are present and complete as is the attached. RCA Audio Cable is included. The manual has gone missing and due to it's rarity we were not able to find one online. On inspection this unit was working, just some inconsistent controls, so it went to our tech for service. Both volume controls were cleaned with Specialist Contact Cleaner (proven superior to DeoxIT by our customers), while the switches were cleaned with the less aggressive DeoxIT F5. While open, all electrolytic caps were inspected for bulging or leakage and all PC boards were inspected with all questionable solder joints re-flowed.

We set this up on our test bench and it passed with flying colors! It powered right up, pumping out a clear, distortion-free audio from all channels with no hum or buzz! All front & rear controls and features work correctly and all inputs and outputs have been confirmed working.
