Carver Professional PM1400 power amplifier Left Channel scratchy

  
Price is reflective by unusual volume knob noise. Amplifier standby works correctly, powers up correctly through complete cycle, works perfect.

But the left channel is a bit scratchy when moved. Once set it sounds fine. If you're going to use the amplifier for a fixed volume it's fine.

If you're going to be ranging through the volume this amplifier is not for you. 475W per channel into 8 ohms 700W per channel into 4 ohms 1400W into 8 ohms, bridged mono. XLR and 1/4 TRS input connectors. Accepts balanced or unbalanced lines.
